Jahn Mortars are substrate-specific, which means they are the most compatible mortars available.

But what about proper installation?

Back in the early 90’s, Dennis Rude, master mason, stonecutter, and founder of Cathedral Stone Products, realized that masons had become too accustom to using polymer-based mortars and they no longer had the necessary skills to properly install a mortar patch.

Dennis decided that training by Cathedral Stone experts would be required to purchase certain Jahn Mortars—this was the inception of Jahn Certified.

We believe that a Jahn Mortar patch, installed by a Jahn Certified mason, will last as long as the original structure.
