How to Enhance a Marble Repair with Veining
Our absolute belief is that two things are required for a ‘forever’ repair: compatible repair materials and proper installation. The latter covers a myriad of professional skills and judgements that result in strong, long-lasting repairs.
But there is another element to a successful repair: the aesthetic of the repair--especially for repairs that are at eye-level to the public.
Does it matter that a great repair stands out like a sore thumb? Not really. But is it ideal? No, it’s not.
There’s a business slogan: good to great (I’m pretty sure there’s a book with that title); how do you go from being good to being great? It all comes down to going the extra bit; the extra step, or two, or three that makes all the difference.
How does a good mason become a great mason? We think a big part of that shift is installing ‘forever’ repairs that no one ever sees, or at least repairs that don’t stand out like a sore thumb.
Adding veins to marble repairs is one of those skills. Watch the video above for a great how-to on this technique using our M120 Marble Repair Mortars.
