FAQs

  1. Does Jahn Self-Cure Mortar look, act, feel, and perform like traditional Jahn Mortar?

Yes. We’ve done extensive testing. It’s the same.

  2. Can we still cure like we’ve always done?

Yes. All Jahn Self-Cure Mortars can be cured using our traditional cure procedures. In fact, in extreme heat (above 85°F) you should always follow all traditional cure procedures when using self-cure.

  3. How does Self-Cure perform in extreme heat and cold?

In extreme heat (above 85°F), we recommend that you follow our traditional cure procedures.

In extreme cold (below 40°F), Jahn mortars, both traditional cure and self-cure, should not be applied.

  4. Is Self-Cure more expensive?

No. There is no difference in price between our traditional cure and our self-cure. Choose the one that’s best for you.

  5. Are all Jahn Mortars available in the Self-Cure option?

The only mortars not available in Self-Cure are Stucco and Casting Mortar. All other mortars will have a Self-Cure option.
